BALANCE MATH The First Balanced Learning System Learning 5 main categories in balance

Balance Math - The First Balanced Learning System :

5 Main Categories of Math in Balance - Elementary school Math is consisted of 5 main categories: Calculation, Geometry, Measurement, Probability & Statistics and Patterns & Problem Solving. Proper way of studying Math shall include these 5 categories in balance. However, normally many think studying calculation is most important to build Math foundation. Yet, such mislead study habits may result to lose interests in Math. If merely numbers and calculation are significant in studying Math, the curriculum of elementary school, Math would have only numbers and calculation without anything else. Good Math education shall allow the students to study each and every aspect of the 5 main categories of Math, in order to learn various ways of mathematical thinking. Only then, the students may fit into the upper grade. Moreover, the ultimate goal of Math education is to bring them up to be healthy member of society with logical thinking and well-developed rational problem solving skills. By studying only numbers and calculation, the students may suffer from Math malnutrition. Let’s look at the forests instead of looking at the trees only.

ALL-IN-ONE System from Fundamental Principles to Thinking Ability - To be good at Math, one requires comprehensive learning ability of not only calculation skills but also understanding, creativity and practical ability. Providing various problems for each category to develop such comprehensive learning ability, Balance Math will bring the math learning up to completion.

Self Learning System - The best way to be good at studies is to study by oneself. Balance Math allows the student to have independent self learning by deciding suitable level for themselves, checking the result right away, and taking supplementary lesson whenever they need through various evaluation systems and clinic processes.

Management System of study to counseling - Simple management of checking study progress is unlikely to develop children’s self-study habit, it rather makes them feel far from studying Math. Balance Math sets and operates learning mentor system of planning and managing their learning together as well as listening to their problems through on-line program.

Main Process of Study :

01.Balance Check - Balance Check is a professionally designed test to evaluate each student’s current level and to determine his/her starting points of each category. / 02.Today’s Work - From the tarting points determined for each main category, the students study 5 days a week according to their personal schedule. Each study section begins with audiovisual images of "Flash Concept Lecture" that explains what mathematical ideas the students are going to learn, thus it allows them to learn and understand the main concept and solve its following problems by themselves. Incorrect answers in Today’s Works are saved automatically to Incorrect Answer Note for students to retry later whenever they want. / 03.1:1 Video Lecture - Through video lecture with a personal tutor, the students check their study progress and take additional lecture for their lacking area. / 04.Evaluation and Clinic - When the students finish every section and level, evaluation test is provided and by the result of it, the student can go forward to the next step or repeat the current stage again. / 05.Reports - Upon completion of weekly/monthly study, reports are provided. The students (or parents) can check their daily study progress by weekly/ monthly reports.

Additional Content :

01.Calculation Plus - In order to enhance calculation ability and skills, the students can take calculation practice whenever they need and as much as they want. / 02.Math Magazine - Through website, the students are provided with various math-related information and interesting stories. They allow the students to feel closer to Math and help them nderstand better about math theories and mathematical concepts. /03.School Test Preparation Course - For school test, the students are provided with test preparation questions that match school curriculum. /04.Math Dictionary - The student can look for math vocabulary in elementary school curriculum as they need.
